The Norwegian Fjords and the Midnight Sun

This is a trip where everytime you think you have seen something spectacular, something even more incredible comes up…Combining ride in some of Europe’s most beautiful railways journeys, cruises in the incredible fjords, and a road trip on scenic back roads, the trip will inspire even the most seasoned traveler.

This year and as a bonus, we are also including an optional extra four days to visit the dramatic and jaw-dropping Lofoten Islands, in the very north of Norway. We will be there to experience the dramatic season of the famous midnight sun.

Book early- places are very limited due to space in the cars.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Oslo and checkin at the Grand Hotel. In the afternoon, a private walking tour to see the highlights of the city including the Nobel Peace Price hall and the Opera House.
Day 2
Board the famous Bergen Railway in the morning. Half way we will take another exhilirating railway towards the picturesque Flam village which sits at the end of one of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. Checkin at the Fretheim Hotel and overnight.
Days 3 In the morning we will cruise in what are often called Norway’s most beautiful fjords: the Aurlandsfjord and Naeroyfjord, before taking the train again to continue towards Bergen. Overnight at the Bergen Bors Hotel.
Day 4A day to discover the beautiful city of Bergen which has a lot to offer including the old town, the funicular, and the countless sea food stalls and market.
Day 5We begin our road trip on this day, driving on amazing roads passing majestic scenery towards the idyllic Strynn village. On this day we will also take the Loen Skylift cable cars for lunch with an incredible view.
Day 6Continue the drive towards Geirangerfjord, another impressive fjord with several waterfalls cascading down its sides. Along the way we stop at several panoramic lookout points. We end the day in the Art-Deco coastal town of Alesund. Overnight at the charming Hotel 1904.
Day 7On this day we drive towards Åndalsnes, our final stop. In the afternoon we drive up the amazing Trollstigen road with its sharp bends over and below the waterfalls. Overnight at the Bellevue Hotel.
Day 8We end the trip with yet another beautiful train trip taking the Rauma Railway back to Oslo airport for departure.
Days 8 – 11For those taking the optional extra days in Lofoten (July 30 – Aug 2), we will take a flight from Oslo to Tromso. We will spend the next two days exploring these incredibly beautiful islands, and enjoy a rib-boat excursion under the midnight sun. It is hard to convey how beautiful these islands are with their jagged mountain peaks coming out of the water, windy roads, and small red fishermen huts; but those who can must not miss these additional few days.

For a Group of 8 to 10: $2920 in Double Occupancy   $3670 in Single Occupancy

For a Group of 12: $2800 in Double Occupancy   $3550 in Single Occupancy

Price Includes:

  • All accommodation on a Bed and Breakfast basis
  • Private tour in Oslo
  • All train and ferryboat tickets
  • Car rentals

  • Airport transfers in Oslo

Price Does Not Include:

  • International airfare
  • Gasoline for the rental cars
  • All lunches and dinners: reservations will be made, but all are optional
  • Personal expenses
  • Travel insurance

Optional Days in Lofoten: Currently estimated at $1400 per person in double occupancy, including domestic flight, accommodation, and car rentals.

Payment and Terms

Trip Status: This trip is open for reservation.

Group Size: Minimum 8   Maximum 12  Guests

To reserve, a down payment of $1500 is requested.

Balance of payment is due 30 days prior to departure.

Downpayment is fully refundable as long as a group of 8 guests has not been formed yet. Following that, payments will be refunded after common costs are deducted (estimated at $800) unless a replacement guest is found.

2- Bank transfers to a bank outside Lebanon (please enquire about bank details)

For Guests Residing in Lebanon:

20% of the payment can be made in LBP cash.

The remaining amount must be settled by one of the methods above.
