Sailing Down the Nile

| November 21 – 27, 2022

An iconic trip in every way, a cruise down the Nile in Upper Egypt should be on everyone’s bucket list. Starting in Luxor with its awe-inspiring Karnak and Luxor temples, and the West Bank with the Valley of the Kings, we board our private “dahabeyya” (sailboat) and begin the cruise towards Aswan. Along the way, we visit several ancient Egyptian temples while enjoying the serene rural landscapes rolling slowly by, and even stopping in a couple of spots to take a dip in the Nile. After reaching Aswan, we will visit the impressive Abu Simbel temple as well as some colorful Nubian villages, and the iconic Old Cataract Hotel.

As an optional two days at the beginning, this trip also includes  visits to the Dandara and Abydos temples. These are some of the most well preserved and impressive Ancient Egyptian temples, yet are always missed by the regular tourist cruise route due to their location north of Luxor; but they are certainly well worth the detour.
