Day 1 March 1 | Arrival in Arusha, known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania, and resting at the foot of Mount Meru and in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro. Transfer and checkin at the Gran Melia Arusha Hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, either rest and enjoy the pool at the hotel, visit the central Masai market or take a drive outside to get closer views of Kilimanjaro. Dinner at the hotel. |
Day 2 March 2 | After breakfast, we begin our safari with a drive towards Tarangire National Park (2 hours drive). Tarangire is known for the diversity of wildlife that can be spotted, but also for its spectacular baobab trees. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, as well as zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather here. Not surprisingly the predators follow, with lion being among the most commonly spotted animal. Overnight at the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge. Picnic lunch during the game drive, and dinner at the lodge. |
Day 3 March 3 | After breakfast, a visit to a Masai village before driving towards the Ngorongoro crater (1.5 hours) for a game drive and wildlife watching with picnic lunch. This amazing and vast volcano caldera with its lakes and huge diversity of animals will feel like the original Garden of Eden…In the afternoon we continue crossing the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the entrance of the legendary Serengeti National Park (2 hours drive). We continue the game drive towards our accommodation in the southern Serengeti, where the migration will be at this time of year. Overnight at the Lake Masek Luxury Tented Lodge. Picnic lunch and dinner at the camp. |
Day 4 March 4 | We will dedicate the day to exploring the Serengeti Park, the most famous park of all Africa, and which, with an area of more than 15,000 square kilometers, is the setting for the huge animal migrations. This picture-perfect landscape is characterised by endless stretches of savannah plains interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite and scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, buffalot, elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. As an optional extra, you can book a sunrise balloon ride over the plains, an experience that is hard to capture in words. Overnight at the Lake Masek Luxury Tented Lodge. Day 5 March 5 | We head north on this say to explore other areas of the Serengeti, and towards the Nimali Central Serengeti Luxury Camp, where we will spend our last night in the Serengeti having an outdoor bush dinner around the fire. |
Day 6 March 6 | In our final morning in the Serengeti, you can enjoy an optional sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, then at 9 AM transfer to the nearby airstrip for the flight to Zanzibar. In Zanzibar, transfer to the Park Hyatt Hotel in Stonetown. In the afternoon, a walking guided tour of this charming and colourful town where several civilizations are juxtaposed. Some free time for shopping and sunset drinks at the Africa House, and free dinner in Stonetown and more exploration on your own. |
Day 7 March 7 | Start the day with an excursion by boat to Prison Island to see the giant tortoises, before continuing to swim and have lunch on a sandbar. We then return to Stonetown for the drive up north to Kendwa and the Zuri Zanzibar luxury boutique hotel. Dinner at the hotel. |
Day 8 March 8 | This is a free day to enjoy the beautiful infinity pool and best sandy beach in Zanzibar, right at the hotel. In the afternoon, we can take an optional excursion to nearby Nungwi, the center of nightlife and beach parties in Zanzibar. Dinner at the hotel. |
Day 9 March 9 | Another free day in Zanzibar to chill at the hotel and enjoy the facilities. As an option, you can head back to Stonetown for some more shopping, or take one of several snorkeling or swimming with the dolphins activities. For dinner, we will have reservations at the iconic The Rock restaurant, a must-see in Zanzibar! |
Day 10 March 10 | Checkout and transfer to Zanzibar airport for departure. |

Trip Status: This trip is open for reservation. A downpayment of 25% is requested to confirm your spot.
Group Size: Minimum 12 Maximum 15 Guests

2- Bank transfers (please enquire about bank details)
Terms
1- To confirm your spot, a downpayment of 50% is requested. Balance is requested 60 days prior to departure, on Jan 1 2024.
2- Trip will be cancelled if the minimum group size is not reached by Jan 15. All down payments will be returned.
3- Trip will be confirmed as soon as a minimum group size of 12 is reached.
4- All downpayment are refundable (minus 5% bank transfer fees) as long as the minimum group size has not been reached.
5- Cancellations after a group of 10 is formed and confirmed are subject to a 50% penalty until 60 days before the trip start date; within 60 days, cancellations are only possible by vouchers for future safari trips, minus $500 penalty.
With all cancellations, every effort will be made to minimize penalties.
