Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nov 27Arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam’s lively capital and transfer to hotel. In the evening, dive into the flavors of the Old Quarter on a guided street food tour.
Day 2 Nov 28Immersion into Hanoi’s rich heritage with a guided tour including visits to the Temple of Literature and One Pillar Pagoda, and ending with a cyclo ride in the Old Quarter, a traditional water puppet show, and a stop at the Instagram-famous Train Street.
Day 3 Nov 29We go for an overnight excursion to the world-famous Halong Bay, with our own private luxury boat. Enjoy caves, kayaking, a cooking class, sunset cocktails, and a peaceful evening on the water.
Day 4 Nov 30Wake up to an invigorating class of tai chi and a visit to a fishing village. After brunch onboard, return to Hanoi to catch the flight to the imperial city of Hue. Transfer to hotel in Hue and in the evening, visit some of the famous silk garment shops that can create an outfit for you overnight!
Day 5 Dec 1Explore the Imperial City: Sail the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, then explore the royal tombs and Imperial Citadel. Wrap up the day with local life at Dong Ba Market and a cooking class.
Day 6 Dec 2We drive towards charming lantern-lit Hoi-An via the scenic Hai Van Pass and with stops at The Museum of Cham Sculpture and the mystical Marble Mountains. Arrive in charming Hoi An,and get immersed immediately in a silk lantern making workshop.
Day 7 Dec 3A guided tour through Hoi An’s ancient lanes, pagodas, and heritage houses. Learn about its cultural fusion while visiting overflowing markets, bridges, and family chapels. In the afternoon, enjoy a basket boat ride on the Thu Bon River, before returning to town to enjoy the evening: it’s the day of the monthly Lantern Festival!
Day 8 Dec 4Leave in the morning to Danang Airport to catch a flight to the bustling Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). City tour upon arrival to explore its French colonial architecture, the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and iconic markets. After some rest at the hotel, enjoy a night out on the town to get the feel of this vibrant city.
Day 9 Dec 5We take an excursion on this day to cruise the Mekong River’s waterways through coconut groves and stilted villages. Taste local fruits, visit a candy workshop, and ride a sampan through quiet canals. Upon returning to Saigon, those who wish can explore more of the city’s cool neighborhoods on an evening guided tour.
Day 10 Dec 6Excursion to walk the historic Cu Chi Tunnels for a feel of Vietnam’s wartime past before going to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Day 11 Dec 7A day of world-famous awe-inspiring temples: marvel at the grandeur of Angkor Thom, Bayon, and the over-grown Ta Prohm, before arriving at the majestic Angkor Wat. End the day with a marvelous sunset hot-air balloon ride.
Day 12 Dec 8We visit hidden temple gems like Preah Khan and the not-to-be-missed Banteay Srei, the birthplace of classic Khmer architecture, in addition to a village to get a glimpse of local life. In the evening, enjoy dinner with an elegant Apsara dance performance where the dancer is sewn into the traditional tight-fitting dress and whose sinuous moves evoke classical myths and religious stories.
Day 13 Dec 9Visit the stilted floating village of Kampong Phluk and receive a traditional water blessing (bring a change of clothes! 😊). We continue to some artisan workshops before heading to Siem Reap airport for departure.

  • International airfare from your point of departure to Hanoi, and from Siem Reap to your final destination.
  • All lunches and dinners (except breakfast, 2 lunches, and dinner on the boat, dinner on the food tour, and lunch on the Mekong River excursion).
  • Anything not specifically mentioned above.
  • Travel Insurance.
  • Visa Processing.

Group Size: Minimum 12   Maximum 16  Guests

Terms

1- To confirm your spot, a down payment of 25% is requested. A second payment (50%) is due on August 1. Balance is due on October 15.
2- Trip will be cancelled if the minimum group size is not reached by July 15. All down payments will be returned.
3- Cancellation penalties:

  • No penalty for cancellation before July 27.
  • 15% penalty staring July 27.
  • 40% penalty starting Sept 27.
  • 60% penalty starting Oct 27.
  • 90% starting Nov 27.

4- No penalty is incurred if the cancelling guest finds a replacement guest.

5- No penalty is incurred if we are able to provide a replacement guest after the maximum group size is reached.
