Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar

A safari that takes in some of the most iconic natural reserves in the world: in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, we will cover Tarangire National Park, the Ngoro Ngoro crater that will remind you of the original Garden of Eden, and the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Our accommodations are all top of the line and include treetop huts and luxury tented camps.
We will wrap up the trip with a flight to the dreamy island of Zanzibar for a visit of eclectic Stonetown and some downtime on the sandy white beaches in a the most exclusive boutique hotel on the island, and including excursions by boat to the sand bars and Prison Island.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Arusha, known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania, and resting at the foot of Mount Meru and in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro. Transfer and checkin at the Gran Melia Arusha Hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, either rest and enjoy the pool at the hotel, or visit the nearby Masai Central Market. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast, we begin the safari with a drive towards Tarangire National Park (2 hours drive). Tarangire is known for the diversity of wildlife that can be spotted, but also for its spectacular baobab and acacia trees. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, as well as zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather here. Not surprisingly the predators follow, with lion being among the most commonly spotted animal. Overnight at the magical Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge. Picnic lunch during the game drive, and dinner at the lodge.
Day 3In the morning drive towards the N’goro N’goro Conservation Area (1.5 hours) for a game drive and wildlife watching with picnic lunch. This amazing and vast volcano crater with its lakes and huge diversity of animals will feel like the original Garden of Eden. In the afternoon we cross the highlands to the entrance of the legendary Serengeti National Park (2 hours drive), and continue the game drive towards the South Serengeti where the migration will be located at this time of year. Overnight and dinner at the luxury tented camp.
Day 4We will dedicate the day to exploring the Serengeti National Park, the most famous park of all Africa, and which, with an area of more than 15,000 square kilometers, is the setting for the huge animal migrations. This picture-perfect landscape is characterised by endless stretches of savannah-covered open plains interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite and scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. At this time, the great wildebeest and zebra migration will be located here, and the area provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Dinner and overnight at our luxury tented camp.
Day 5As an optional activity on this day, you can also book an early morning hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. We will then checkout and head north towards the Central Serengeti to explore a different part of the park. Overnight at the Nimali Central Serengeti luxury camp, where we will have a special bush dinner.
Day 6In this final morning in the Serengeti, it is possible to go for an early morning final game drive. We will then transfer by 11 AM to the nearby airstrip for our flight that will take us to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival In Zanzibar, transfer to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Stonetown. A guided walking tour in the afternoon to discover this vibrant and eclectic town. Free dinner.
Day 7A few hours in the morning for some essential shopping town in Stonetown, before going on a boat excursion towards Prison Island, followed by a visit to a sandbar for an amazing lunch and swimming experience. Upon returning to Stonetown, drive up by bus towards out final accommodation, the gorgeous Zuri Zanzibar boutique hotel. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 8This is a free day to enjoy the infinity pool and the most beuatful beach beach in Zanzibar. Lunch at the hotel, before heading in the late afternoon to the other side of the island where we will have dinner reservations at the iconic The Rock restaurant, a must-see in Zanzibar!
Day 9Checkout and transfer to Zanzibar airport for departure.
Note: As an option, book and extra day at Zanzibar to enjoy the island fully.

Trip Status: This trip is open for reservation. A downpayment of 50% is requested to confirm your spot.

Terms

1- To confirm your spot, a downpayment of 50% is requested. Balance is requested by January 10.
2- Trip will be cancelled if the minimum group size is not reached by December 25. All down payments will be returned.
3- Trip will be confirmed as soon as the group size of 12 is reached.

4- All downpayment are refundable (minus 5% bank transfer fees) as long as the minimum group size has not been reached.

5- Cancellations after a group of 12 is formed and confirmed are subject to a 50% penalty until 60 days before the trip start date; within 60 days, cancellations are only possible by vouchers for future safari trips.

With all cancellations, every effort will be made to minimize penalties.
