Join us in this nine-day pre-Christmas trip as we get into the festive spirit in the Black Forest in Germany and Alsace in France.

This sparkling trip will take us from one charming Christmas market to the next, across medieval town squares and castles and all the way to the heart of the Black Forest. We will also visit the wine route in Alsace to taste the famous wines of the region, taking in picturesque towns and villages such as Colmar. Along the way, we will also pamper ourselves with spa treatments, warm mulled wine, and festive food.

Detailed Itinerary

Days 1 to 3We arrive in Frankfurt, and over the next 3 days we visit Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Speyer, and Wiesbaden, taking in all their charming Christmas markets, castles, and other attractions. We travel between Frankfurt and Heidelberg by train.
Day 4We take a private bus to Baden Baden, the famous spa town in the Black Forest. A day of pampering at the Caracalla spa, and in the evening we visit the town’s Christmas Market.
Days 5 and 6We take the train to Strasbourg in the Alsace region in France. We explore the old town and visit its world-famous Christmas market. We also spend a day in a beautiful spa-hotel in the Vosges forest.
Days 7 to 9We explore this famous wine region and do several tastings in picturesque villages and towns, including visiting the postcard town of Colmars before returning to Germany to Freiburg at the edge of the Black Forest. A taste of the famous black forest cake, cuckoo clocks, and a train ride into the forest to visit one of the most picturesque Christmas markets under the train aqueduct at Ravenna Gorge. We depart again from Frankfurt.

The price per person in double occupancy for this trip is:

USD 2780 for a group of 10 guests
USD 2700 for a group of 12 guests
USD 2650 for a group of 14 guests

Single supplement: USD 1100

Price Includes:

  • Airport transfers.
  • All accommodation in 5-Star hotels with breakfast.
  • All train and private bus transport (Please note taxis are not included when needed for example for transfer between train stations and hotels).
  • Private 24/7 German/English/Arabic speaking guide/ tour leader.
  • All entrance fees to museums and sites mentioned.
  • Entrance fees to spas in Baden Baden and Alsace, including lunch.
  • Private gastronomy and wine tasting tour in Colmars, Alsace.

Price does not include:

  • International flights.
  • All lunches and dinners- reservations at select locations will be made for some meals; in many instances meals can be consumed at the Christmas markets.
  • All taxis needed e.g. from train station to hotel.
  • Optional treatments at the spas.
  • Optional excursion to Wiesbaden for the Nutcracker Ballet.
  • Any expense of a personal nature or not specifically mentioned in the inclusions above.
  • Travel insurance.

Payment and Terms

Trip Status: This trip is open for pre-reservation with no downpayment. Final confirmation and downpayments starting September 1 2021.

Group Size: Minimum 10   Maximum 14  Guests

Payment Options

All guests:

1- Cash payment in USD, or

2- Bank transfers to a bank outside Lebanon (please enquire about bank details)

For Guests Residing in Lebanon:

20% of the payment can be made in LBP cash.

The remaining amount must be settled by one of the methods above.

Terms

1- To confirm your spot, a down payment of 20% is requested on September 1. Balance is requested 4 weeks prior to departure.
2- Trip will be cancelled if the minimum group size is not reached by September 30. All down payments will be returned.
3- Cancellation by guest within 6 weeks of departure: 20% penalty.
4- Cancellation by guest within 4 weeks of departure: 40% penalty.
5- Cancellation by guest within 2 weeks of departure: 75% penalty (unless a replacement is found).

Cancellations due to COVID-19 issues will be handled on a case by case basis, as the situation requires. All effort will be made to minimize any penalties. Program details subject to change to accommodate any COVID-19 related restrictions.
