Over the course of this curated safari, we’ll explore three of northern Tanzania’s most iconic parks—including the legendary Serengeti and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater—traveling in private 4x4s and staying in exceptional lodges that immerse us in nature without compromising on luxury and comfort.

The adventure begins in Arusha, the gateway to the northern safari circuit, and ends with a scenic flight from a remote airstrip in the Serengeti—one last chance to marvel at the vastness of the savannah from above. From there, guests may return home or opt to extend their journey with a few relaxing days in Zanzibar, where white-sand beaches, rich culture, and luxurious seaside resorts await.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 March 7Arrival in Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha. The town rests at the foot of Mount Meru, and is the safari capital of northern Tanzania. Transfer and checkin at the Gran Melia Arusha. Enjoy the beautiful hotel pool, before a short excursion to the Central Masai Market. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 March 8
After breakfast, meet the guides and begin the safari with a drive towards Tarangire National Park (2 hours drive). Tarangire is known for the diversity of wildlife that can be spotted, but also for its spectacular baobab trees. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, as well as zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather here. If we’re in luck we’ll also spot lions and the elusive leopard. Picnic lunch during the game drive. Overnight and dinner at the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge, a unique experience in itself with glamorous fully equipped tents perched high on trees.
Day 3 March 9After breakfast, drive towards N’goro N’goro (2 hours) for a game drive and wildlife watching with picnic lunch. Descend 600 m into an amazing and vast volcano caldera where animals and Masai settlements co-exist. With its lakes, landscapes, and huge diversity of animals, it will feel like the original Garden of Eden and is a definite highlight of the trip. From there, we drive in the afternoon towards the Southern Serengeti where the migration is concentrated at this time of year. Some off-roading fun in the Ndutu area in search of close encounters with animals, before settling for the night at Lake Masek Tented Lodge.
Day 4 March 10Explore on this day the Southern Serengeti, probably the most famous safari park in the world with an area of 15000 square kilometers. The game drive will go towards the wildebeest migration groups , some giving birth at this time and some already nursing their calves all over the plain. After a picnic lunch, continue in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. We will get back to the lodge for sundown happy hour drinks before dinner and overnight at the Lake Masek Tented Lodge.
Day 5 March 11We leave the lodge after breakfast and drive along the Seronera valley towards the Central Serengeti where besides the big cats, there will be opportunities to see crocodiles and hippos. We end the day at the beautiful Nimali Serengeti Lodge, with an outdoor dinner in the bush for our final night.
Day 6 March 12After breakfast, checkout and then a short drive to the airstrip for the flight back to Arusha airport, From there, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for the flights back home.

Those continuing on to Zanzibar will take a flight from Arusha airport to Zanzibar. (Optional)

Days 7-8-9 March 13-14-15A relaxing three days in Zanzibar exploring Stonetown, a city rich in culture, hisrtory and shopping, before heading to a beautiful resort hotel to enjoy the famous white sand beaches and good food, in addition to swimming excursions to the nearby islands and sandbars. Dinner in the iconic The Rock.

Price Does Not Include:

  • International return airfare from your point of departure to Arusha.
  • Any vaccinations.
  • Visa processing.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Hot air balloon rides in the Serengeti.
  • Drinks with dinners.

Payment and Terms

This trip is open for reservations. Group size: 12 in 2 safari 4×4 vehicles.

Terms

1- To confirm the reservation, a downpayment of 30% ($1800) is requested. Second payment (50%) on December 7. Final balance on January 30.

2- Free cancellation upto October 31. Following that the following penalties will be applied:

  • 10% penalty if cancellation is before December 7. This amount will be held and can be used against a future trip.
  • Dec 8 – Jan 7: 25% penalty, unless a replacement is found.
  • Jan 8 – Feb 8: 50% penalty, unless a replacement is found.
  • Feb 9 onwards: 80% penalty, unless a replacement is found.

As with all trips, every effort will be made to minimize the penalties in case of cancellations.
