Detailed Itinerary

Day 1
May 1
Arrival in Lima.
Private airport pickup and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and rest of the program TBD based on time of arrival.
Day 2
May 2
Discover Lima, the capital of Peru, with a private tour including the historic center, San Francisco church, and Casa Aliaga. Also included is a visit to the famous Larco Museum and optional lunch in its lush gardens. In the evening, a walk and dinner reservations at Miraflores, to get a taste of the city’s renowned culinary scene.
Day 3

Fly to Arequipa, the “White City,” where elegant colonial architecture and volcanic stone buildings set the scene. Visit the historic Santa Catalina Convent and meet Juanita, the Inca ice mummy, before relaxing in your charming hotel or wandering the streets of the old city with Misti Volcano in the distance.
Day 4
May 4
Embark on a beautiful scenic drive across volcanic landscapes and the high plains of the Andes Mountains. Breathe deeply and take in the impressive but peaceful panoramas. Arrive in the town of Chivay, the jumping-off point for the Colca Canyon, and checkin at the hotel to enjoy a peaceful afternoon and soaks in the natural hot springs.

Day 5

Visit Condor’s Cross, the viewpoint where you will witness the majestic flight of the giant Andean condors soaring over Colca Canyon. Explore traditional colorful villages along the way before continuing on a private drive through breathtaking scenery to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Checkin at the hotel on the shores of the lake.
Day 6
May 6
Sail Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 m above sea level, aboard a private boat. Visit the floating Uros Islands, which the locals have constructed for centuries from reeds, as well as Taquile island where ancient knitting traditions are kept alive. Enjoy a special lakeside lunch before returning to the hotel.
Day 7
May 7
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the train station where you will board the luxury Peru Rail Titicaca Train to Cusco. Travel in style through the beautiful landscapes of the Andes Mountains and the Peruvian Altiplano, on South America’s finest luxury train! This long but comfortable 10-hour train ride is punctuated by a stop for panoramic views at La Raya, as well as classes on how to make Pisco Sour, the iconic Peruvian cocktail. On arrival, transfer to the luxury Palacio del Inka hotel in central Cusco for a relaxed evening and easy exploration.
Day 8
May 8
Explore Cusco’s cobblestone streets, from the Temple of the Sun to the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, and discover its colonial landmarks, vibrant markets, and bohemian neighbourhood. In the afternoon, connect to ancient spiritual traditions in a private Andean ceremony with a traditional shaman to celebrate life and give thanks to all that Mother Earth (Pachamama) has given and will give us.
Day 9
May 9
Leave Cusco to explore the Sacred Valley. The day will unfold with a visit to Moray’s ancient Inka circular terraces and the dazzling iconic salt pans of Maras, transferred across generations. Lunch with a view, before visiting a local village and the co-op formed by master-weaver women, experts at traditional Inka pattern and weaving techniques. End the day with a relaxing afternoon at a beautiful countryside hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Day 10
May 10
Discover the Inca fortress and living town of Ollantaytambo, one of the few remaining places in Peru that retains its original Incan urban planning, before boarding the Vistadome panoramic luxury train through the mountains. The ride will take us to Aguas Calientes, where we’ll spend the night in anticipation of Machu Picchu the next morning.
Note: Those who wish can do on this day the optional 6 hour Short Inca Trail Hike. Please enquire if interested.
Day 11
May 11
On this day, those who wish can get an early start around 8 AM to take the easy walk from Machu Picchu ruins to the Sun Gate with panoramic views that overlook the town. The others will join them at around 11 AM for a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Lunch in Aquas Calientes, and in the late afternoon head back to Cusco on board the elegant Hiram Bingham train which offers gourmet dining and live Andean music along the way. Transfer to the hotel in Cusco for the final night.
Day 12
May 12
Checkout in the morning and flight back to Lima, and from there to the onward flight back home.

Note: In Puno it is possible to stay instead at the Lake Titilaka Relais & Chateaux Lodge for an added cost: $1700 per person in double, $2040 per person in single.

Payment and Terms

Group Size: 14 Guests

1- To confirm your spot, a down payment of $2000 is requested.

2- Second payment: $3000 is requested by December 31.

3- Balance is requested by February 1.

4- Cancellation anytime after a deposit has been made: $300 penalty.

5- Cancellation anytime once a group of 14 has been formed, or before January 31: $2000 unless a replacement guest is found.

6- Cancellation between February 1 and March 15: $3000 unless a replacement guest is found.

7- Cancellation after March 15: 100% unless a replacement guest is found.

8- Travel insurance is highly recommended.

9- We reserve the right to change any of the mentioned hotels to others of similar standard in case of any unforeseen difficulties with reservations.

As always, every effort will be made in the event of a cancellation to find a replacement guest or to minimize penalties.
